Quick Pre-viz

A very quick Pre-Viz, which has a 3D museum space and not yet posed elephant. I made this pre-viz, that would help me to understand scale and atmosphere better.

While rendering the images, I was also looking at the shot angles, that would best work for my project.

The scene is still very plain, no textures or proper lightning, but the idea is to have a dark(-ish) atmosphere, possibly add some god rays in nuke, that would face the elephant.

TIP: When doing a creature, make sure to pose it BEFORE going into the detail. Use lowest subdivision and then a rigging tool. Use small zSpheres to represent bones but cover as much to avoid random stretching.

To finish the elephant, I used different alphas and blended then in together.

By creating small wrinkles, I followed created guidelines of them to inflate and make them look more like folds.

Original idea, was to have a statue of the elephant, but still have some realism in it. That is why, I decided to got for a warm colour, that would give more life to it. Also cracked mud if great to enhance the detail, since it will be more prominent.

This is an 8K map, that I got from Quixel, called 'Cracked Mud'.
